Dear FUSSA members,
How have your holidays been? The summer break has just officially started and I do hope everyone is safety back in your home country and enjoying your holidays.
The flight back to Singapore on 26th November was indeed bombarded by Singaporeans, and especially students from Flinders University, flying on Qantas.
Nonetheless, I’m sure everyone is back with their family, enjoying every single moment and of course savoring each bite of the local food.
Being oversea in a foreign country isn’t easy, having to face with the culture shock, the difference in food and being away from family and friends.
But a year has passed and I’m hope everyone has adapted to the Aussie’culture and has made wonderful friends along the way.
Do share with us your holidays plan in the comment section below.
Recently, we had a dinner to show our appreciation to 2011 committee members.
The dinner was held at the Penang Malaysian and Chinese Restaurant.

Some arrived early, even an hour before the appointed time!
But finally when all arrived, the orderings begins…

Our first group picture together of 2011 committee and 2012 committee!

Dishes started arriving and well, we got to take picture of the food too right?
Here are some pictures of us with the food that we ordered.

Our 2011 President Priscilla was overjoyed when she was able to order the Penang Laska. #Happiness
The laska soup base was not cooked with prawns but with fish, hence she was able to order it.

With a filled stomach from the amazing food that we consumed, what comes next after dinner?
DESSERT!
We order three plates of roti prata with ice cream.
Crispy prata served with cold ice cream on top, a perfect combination.
Who say that roti prata only have to go well with curry. Not today.
FYI: Roti prata is made from plain flour, milk and lot of ghee. It was made into a small dough before it get flatten out and placed on a hot pan to fry it till it’s crispy.

Next we have Ice Kacang.
This unique ice kacang can only be found at the restaurant. The bottom of the cup was filled with red and black beans, green jelly, corn before it was further covered with shaved ice and right on top, a scoop of ice cream.
I give a double thumbs up for that.
With a satisfied stomach, it was time to head home.
On behalf of all FUSSA members, we wish the 2011 committee all the best for their future endeavors and thank you for such an amazing eventful year
